    This workshop invites doctoral students to explore creativity not as a gift, but as a skill — a discipline that connects intuition and analysis to unlock innovation. Through reflective storytelling, practical exercises, and collaborative challenges, participants will learn how to hack their creativity, overcome the fears that limit idea generation, and approach research problems with fresh eyes. The goal is to transform creativity from something abstract into a practical, scientific habit that nurtures innovation, resilience, and curiosity in research and beyond.

    The intent is to create a highly interactive, inspiring, and intellectually engaging experience — enabling doctoral students to strengthen their creative confidence and apply innovative thinking to academic and professional challenges.

  • Creating is not conceiving. Ideas are born through persistence, not lightning strikes.
  • Creativity is the ability to solve (or create) problems. It is the bridge between change, survival, and success.
  • Fear kills creativity. Fear of being ridiculous, of being criticized, or of the unknown.
  • We are creative when we relax. Great ideas happen when the “inner cop” is silent.
  • Collaboration amplifies creativity. The “Carousel Method” — Write, Read & Listen, Debate & Integrate — transforms discussion into discovery.
  • Leaders must be ambidextrous. They must balance execution (efficiency) and collaboration (discovery).
  • Entrepreneurial science is the next frontier. Researchers must think like founders: curious, bold, and collaborative.
  • At the end of the day, we write our own story. Creativity is the courage to imagine — and to begin.

izvajalec

Tiago Forjaz is a keynote speaker, facilitator, and member of the global faculty of Singularity University and the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). He is recognized internationally for his work on creativity, innovation, leadership, and transformation. Over the past 20 years, Tiago has collaborated with global organizations and universities to help people and teams rethink how they learn, lead, and collaborate in times of change. He is also the Chief Dream Officer of MighT – Talent Strategists, a consultancy whose mission is to transform human potential into organizational power. Earlier in his career, Tiago founded The Star Tracker (the first global network of Portuguese talent, connecting 38,000 professionals in 135 countries) and co-founded Jason Associates. With a degree in Economics, Tiago combines business insight, storytelling, and human science to inspire meaningful transformation.

  • Dogodek bo potekal v angleškem jeziku. Tolmačenje ne bo zagotovljeno.
  • Doktorski študenti lahko z udeležbo na delavnici uveljavljate prenosljiva znanja v okviru predmetnika na doktorskem študijskem programu, na katerem študirate (ovrednoteno z 0,25 ECTS).
  • Potrdilo o udeležbi bo študentom izdano, v kolikor boste prisotni celoten čas dogodka. Naloženo bo v elektronsko mapo.
