The workshop focuses on approaches to learning, taxonomy, exam forms and teaching environment when discussing students' development of critical thinking skills.

After the workshop participants will be able to:
  • Plan, implement and evaluate own teaching, where the students' development of critical thinking is included as a learning outcome.
  • Create ideas about teaching environments which invite students to act with autonomy, authenticity and critical thinking.

Helle Mathiasen, Professor emerita, Head of Studies, presents her work: I have directed research projects during the last two decades primarily within the fields of upper secondary education and university education. In addition to research and teaching activities, I have served as Director of the Centre for Research in IT & Learning, and I have served as Research Program Director for the research program Educational Research, Learning and Media.
